Investigation Summary
On June 13, 2009, an employee was installing rain gutters and down spouts using a scaffold. As he was walking on the scaffold with equipment and parts in both hands, he misstepped off the structure side of the scaffold platform and fell 11 ft 8 in. to the ground. A neighbor observed the employee falling and alerted other workers on the site, who called emergency services. The employee was hospitalized and surgery was performed for spinal injuries.
