Employee Commits Suicide in Trash Compactor

At approximately 12:30 p.m. on July 15, 2009, Employee #1, a 47-year-old male, of Commercial Vehicle Group, was killed as a result of being crushed in a SP Industries PC-6000 Pre-Crusher Compactor. Upon further investigation, it was determined by OSHA and the local Police department that Employee #1 committed suicide. There were no problems identified with the operation of the trash compactor.
