Investigation Summary
On February 13, 2009, an employee sustained a broken hip while performing normal work duties. While out on rehabilitation, the employee suffered an acute myocardial infarction, atherosclerotic coronary artery disease with acute thrombotic occlusion of the left circumflex coronary artery and died. A brief discussion with the coroner of record indicated that this was the cause of death, not related to the hip fracture.
