Investigation Summary
At approximately 5:50 a.m. on October 15, 2009 an employee was working by himself to install traffic counters on Illinois Route 116, FAP 669, a two-lane Federal Aid Primary Route, when he was struck by an on-coming vehicle. The incident occurred in East Farmington, IL. It was dark at this hour and misting rain was reported in the area. The employee was pronounced dead at the scene by the Peoria County Coroner.
