Employee Is Struck in the Face and Eye by Circular Saw

On December 15, 2008, Employee #1 was using a circular saw to cut exterior vertical wooden siding. He was enlarging a wall opening to accommodate three 24-in. by 60-in. crank-out windows. He was not wearing safety glasses or goggles. The circular saw struck a nail, kicked back, and the blade struck him on the left eyelid, and facial area above the left eye. Employee #1 was hospitalized with lacerations to his face.
