Employee Loses Fingertip in Accident

On July 22, 2010, Employee #1, a service technician, was at an offsite location disassembling a screen structure. Employee #1 was positioned up inside a man basket and had his left arm straddled over the top of an I beam. Employee #1 had a wrench in his left hand and a impact gun in the right hand. While he was repositioning himself, he inadvertently hit the impact gun trigger causing the nut and wrench to spin and pinch his finger tip between the wrench and I beam. Employee #1 sustained an amputation to the left index finger. Employee #1 was wearing his gloves at the time.
