Investigation Summary
On October 29, 2009, Employee #1, a temporary employee, was assigned to work for a construction company that repairs and replaces damaged items in foreclosed homes. He was tasked with painting the inside and outside of one of these homes. As Employee #1 worked from a 6 inch A-frame ladder to access the top of a car port and was reaching to paint the eve of the carport, he lost his balance. Employee #1 fell approximately 9 feet to the ground below, landing on a concrete walkway. Employee #1 was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was hospitalized and treated for a shattered left arm.
