Investigation Summary
On September 27, 2007, Employee #1, a trainee, was instructed by his supervisor to stay and observe the HK line until the new trainer arrived. Employee #1 noticed a case turned on the conveyor belt and reached through the railing without stopping the machine. At the same time the stop bar, in the up position, cycled and dropped down. Employee #1's right arm was caught between the bar and the conveyor belt, receiving bruises.
