Employee Amputates Finger While Using Cutting Machine

Employee #1 was cutting magnetic strips. Magnets would stick to the bar as it was returning to its resting position. The machine had finished the downward part of cycle and was returning to the resting position when Employee #1 reached into knock some magnet loose with her finger. Employee #1's finger was pinched between the blade, the bar and the frame. Employee #1 sustained the amputation of her finger and was treated for her injuries but was not hospitalized.
