Employee Amputates Finger with Meat Saw

On February 12, 2009, an employee was cutting chuck steaks on the Butcher Boy Band Saw, Model Number SA16. The saw cut his middle finger of his left hand. The employee went to his supervisor and told him he had cut his finger. The supervisor then took the employee to the outpatient AV Occupational Medicine Clinic. The employee had amputated the tip of the finger with no bone loss. The tip of the finger was reattached. The employee was not hospitalized.
