Employee Dies from Concussion after Falling from Roof

At approximately 8:10 a.m. on May 4, 2008, Employee #1, a roofer, and the other roofing crew members were setting and fastening hardboard sheeting on a manufacturing facility. Employee #1 was carrying and setting the hardboard sheeting for the roofers to fasten. He was working along the leading edge on the building's east wall, outside the designated access zone. Employee #1 lost his footing and fell approximately 22 ft. He fractured his head and bones. Employee #1 died on May 18, 2008.
