Employee Is Struck by Falling Car and Is Killed

On March 14, 2009, Employee #1, a body shop worker, was moving parts from a one vehicle to another. The front of the first vehicle had been elevated by a jack. The rear tires rested on the ground and had not been secured from movement. The vehicle had not been secured by cribbing. The employee was under the first vehicle removing parts, when the jack shifted out of position and the front section of the vehicle fell on him. Employee #1 was killed.
