Employee injured in fall moving onto platform from ladder

At approximately 12:00 noon on January 10, 2008, Employee #1 was carrying a coiled garden hose while climbing a ladder to the roof of a building. He reached a 25 in. by 30 in. platform at the top of the ladder and was trying to step onto it when he slipped and fell approximately 17 ft from the ladder to a lower level. Employee #1 sustained injuries that required hospitalization.
