Event: 11/13/2007
Employee Is Struck and Pinned by Falling Boat

Two employees were raising the bow of the 37-ft long Wellcraft power boat using a 5-ton hydraulic floor jack. One of the employees placed a plywood sheet on top of the jack's foot to spread the load and at the same time to protect the fiberglass keel. As the boat was being raised it rolled towards Employee #1, pinning him to the asphalt ground. Employee #1 suffered multiple injuries to his lower leg and back and was hospitalized.
