Employee injured in fall when porch railing fails

On October 11, 2007, Employee #1, a contractor who was painting and replacing porch decks, was painting a safety rail when he leaned against it and it broke. He fell 28 ft to ground. Employee #1 suffered serious fractures to both his wrists, several fractured ribs, and head injuries.
