Employee Injures Finger in Pit Conveyor

An employee was checking to see why nothing was coming up a pit conveyor. The employee reached down between the pit wall and screened top. A sharp piece of plastic cut off the fleshy part of the employee's finger. Employees' ring finger on the left hand was injured which resulted in the eventual amputation to the tip of the finger.
