Investigation Summary
At 5:00 p.m. on August 31, 2007, Employee #1 was working as a maintenance helper in an industrial laundry operation. Employee #1 responded to repair a piece of machinery. He was found by the plant manager pinned in the Lavatec laundry press. Chesterfield County Emergency Services responded to the scene and transported Employee #1 to the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, where he died on September 2, 2007.
