Employee's Fingers Are Amputated by Unguarded Shear

On July 1, 2008, Employee #1 operated an alligator shear in automatic mode. The alligator shear did not have any form of guarding. The employee amputated three fingers on his left hand. The employee was sent to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.
