Employee Is Burned by Boiling Liquid Spill

On August 2, 2007, Employee #1, a cook, was preparing French dip for the lunch service, and had boiling au jus sauce in a tilting kettle. As he was walking briskly by the kettle, he slipped on some fluid on the floor and grabbed the handle of the tilting kettle to catch his fall. Employee #1 fell to the floor, and three gallons of boiling au jus sauce spilled on him. Employee #1 was hospitalized for burns.
