Employee Lacerates Foot While Using High Pressure Washer

Employee #1, a prison guard, was with a prisoner who was cleaning flooring with a high pressure washer (approximately 5,000 psi). Employee #1 took the pressure washer from the inmate and proceeded to wash mud from his boot. In the process, Employee #1's foot was badly cut by the high pressure water stream. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
