Investigation Summary
At approximately 4:30 p.m. on November 11, 2007, Employee #1 was working on a Bosch Bag Maker which produces bagged vegetables. Employee #1 was trying to put pressure on the vertical seal bar when the pressure released and the seal bar closed on her right pinky finger. Employee #1 pulled her hand back amputating the tip of her finger. Employee #1 was taken to the hospital where the doctors treated her by grinding a small portion of the pinky bone to pull skin over for suturing. Employee #1 was not hospitalized.
