Employee Dies after Being Struck by Bobcat

On April 19, 2007, Employee #1 was bent over or squatted down, taking a measurement with a coworker. The operator of a Bobcat looked behind him and saw the coworker stand up and walk away. Believing the path to be clear, the Bobcat operator backed up, striking Employee #1 in the pelvic area and running over his foot. Employee #1 sustained severe damage to his leg. He was hospitalized and died on May 4, 2007.
