Employee killed in fall from roof

On October 4, 2007, Employee #1 was installing soffits on the 22 ft high roof of a house when he dropped the drill bit and drill bit holder. As he tried to retrieve them, he lost his balance and slid off the roof, striking a scaffold support by two 6 ft stepladders as he fell. Employee #1 landed on a cement walkway, whereupon one of the ladders also fell and struck him on the head. He was transported to the hospital for treatment of head injuries and multiple fractures. He was stabilized and then flown to another hospital, where he died.
