Investigation Summary
On April 29, 2007, Employee #1 was attempting to spread out the web before the preimpregnator rolls after a partial web break. The preimpregnator rolls are a set of in running rolls, the top roll being a black rubberized roll, and the bottom a steel roll which creates an ingoing nip point. His hands were too close to the nip point and were caught. The tip of his ring and middle fingers were crushed. He was hospitalized, and the tips of his fingers were amputated.
