Employee's Hand Is Injured in Vegetable Cutter Machine

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on December 4, 2008, Employee #1, a vegetable chopper, was operating a Urschel Model J Chopper when the machine jammed. She placed her hand into the out feed area to try and unjam it and her hand was caught under the crosscut knife section. The machine had to be cut apart to get her out. She sustained a crush injury to her hand and was hospitalized.
