Employee Is Injured When He Falls Off Ladder

On July 4, 2007, Employee #1, a laborer, was painting inside of a 50,000-gal.tank with a coworker. As he was climbing a ladder through the main way to communicate to another coworker, who was working as the work activity's spotter, the ladder slipped on the tank's surface, causing him to fall four feet. Employee #1 hit the tank surface, causing a hip injury. He was taken to Bakersfield Memorial Hospital, where he was hospitalized for treatment.
