Employee Gets a Contusion from Falling Off a Ladder

At approximately 12:50 pm, on January 25, 2008, Employee #1 was climbing up a 6 foot portable wooden ladder and was on the third rung of the ladder attempting to grab a shoe off of the top of an arcade. Employee #1 shifted her upper body as she was distracted by a student and the ladder fell. Employee #1 fell off of the ladder and hit the left side of her head and face on the concrete deck. Employee #2 was about 5 to 10 feet away and witnessed the accident when it happened. The paramedics arrived and transported Employee #1 to Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego where she was hospitalized for a contusion.
