Employee fractures wrist in fall from stepladder

At approximately 10:00 a.m. on November 6, 2007, Employee #1, a construction laborer, was working at a residential complex being built for Father Joe's Catholic Missions. He was using an 8 ft A-frame stepladder to load construction debris into a trash dumpster when he fell and fractured his right wrist. He complained of his injury later that day; on November 11, 2007, he underwent surgery at UC-San Diego Hospital. Employee #1 was a homeless patron of Father Joe's Mission Shelter.
