Investigation Summary
On October 26, 2007, Employee #1, working for Solar Turbines, slipped and fell while wearing an orthopedic ankle support. Employee #1 was employed as a quality control engineer and was working in an office/lab environment. While walking across a hard linoleum surface, the hard plastic heel guard on his ankle support slipped on the hard surface. Employee #1 slipped and fell to the floor. Employee #1 suffered a broken hip and was hospitalized.
