Employee Fractures Shoulder When Trips on Chain and Falls

At 10:14 a.m. on October 18, 2007, Employee #1, a teacher, was walking on the side of a walkway and on campus at the south side of the bungalow Number 300, at the San Marcos High School in San Marcos, California. Employee #1 tripped on some chain links and fell. She struck the wall with her right arm before hitting the ground. Employee #1 fractured her right shoulder in three places. A coworker found Employee #1 on the road and saw that she was injured. The coworker notified a manager that Employee #1 was injured. The manager contacted School Police, who called for Emergency Medical Service. The paramedics transported Employee #1 to Palomar Hospital in Escondido, California. Employee #1 was in the hospital for more then 24 hours.
