WORKER DIES FALLING FROM TREE

On August 8, 2007, Employee #1 had apparently climbed up a pine tree 20 ft. off the ground, his supervisor had told him to climb down. He waited a few minutes then called for help to get down. Soon after he fell onto the ground and was transferred to Palomar Medical via Mercy Air with major head trauma. The Division was able to locate the employer, Daniel Islas Landscaping, Inc. He does landscaping for various privately owned homes throughout San Diego County. Employee #1 died on August 9, 2007.
