Employee Fractures Arm in Fall from Scaffold

On June 16, 2007, an employee was working on the planking of a scaffold at about 18 feet above the ground while nailing paneling and corbels. The scaffold plank slipped, and the employee fell off of the planking and hit the ground. Rancho Santa Fe Fire Department paramedics transported the employee to the hospital for surgery and treatment at Palomar Medical Center. The employee was hospitalized and treated for fractured right arm. Equipment and materials used were metal scaffolding, 10 foot 10 inch wide wooden planks, corbels and plywood.
