Employee Is Injured in Fall, Dies Later of Heart Attack

On February 12, 2007, an employee was removing sections of rusted, damaged roof decking. He had cut through the piece of decking and when it did not fall through to the concrete floor below, he attempted to kick it. The employee lost his balance and fell onto the piece of metal which, in turn, bent in half allowing him to fall through to the concrete floor below. The employee survived the fall and was talking and alert at the hospital. He later had a heart attack and subsequently died of the heart attack.
