Employee Is Injured in Fall from Ladder

On December 28, 2007, Employee #1, a construction worker, was part of a 2-man crew hanging gutters on a single-family home. Employee #1 and his coworker were on ladders, 18 feet off of the ground. As Employee #1 reached around the corner of the house, he fell off his ladder. Employee #1, the ladder he was on, and the gutter, all fell to the ground outside of the front of the home. He landed on his side, on loose soil, sustaining several fractured ribs. He was transported to Prince Georges Trauma Center, where he was admitted.
