Employee Fractures Leg When Caught Between Truck and Trailer

At approximately 6:05 a.m. on August 26, 2008, an employee, a site foreman was backing up a water buffalo, water tank, 500 gallons capacity, which was hooked up in the back of a pick-up truck, Ford, F250, License Number 7T10650, by using a trailer hitch attached to the front of water buffalo. While backing-up, the trailer hitch came off. The employee ran to stop the water buffalo before it hits the rear bumper of the truck. As the employee tried to stop the water buffalo, his right leg got caught between the hitch and the rear bumper of the truck. His lower leg was crushed, which required three surgeries and hospitalization for three days.
