Employee Amputates Fingers with Skilsaw

At approximately 1:00 p.m. on December 27, 2006, Employee #1, a carpenter, working in the shop area, was cutting extra boards off of a repaired or completed pallet, utilizing a portable power driven Skilsaw, with a pinned self-adjusting guard. As he worked, he somehow sustained serious injuries to his left fingers, resulting in their amputation and his hospitalization. The incident was not reported until 6 months later.
