Investigation Summary
On July 11, 2008, Employee #1, a hostler driver, was training Employee #2. Both employees were in the cab of the goat, with the back sliding door open. In order to direct Employee #2, Employee #1 kneeled down by the door to see where the kingpin was. The goat jerked when it contacted the trailer, causing Employee #1's right foot to exit the cab. Employee #1's foot was fractured when the nose of the trailer rolled onto it. Employee #1 was hospitalized and underwent surgery.
