Employee Suffers Concussion in Fall from Ladder Into Trench

On December 7, 2006, Employee #1 was in a trench box, sealing sewer pipe. He was climbing the ladder to exit the trench box, when he lost his grip. He fell off of the ladder to the bottom of the trench box, approximately 10 ft. The employee was rescued by Emergency Medical Staff. He sustained whiplash in the neck area and a concussion. Employee #1 was transported to the hospital and was hospitalized overnight.
