Employee Amputates Finger While Emptying Food Mixer

On September 22, 2008, Employee #1 was working for a manufacturer of a variety of fresh and frozen foods. Employee #1 was seriously injured when his left middle finger was caught by a shovel that he was using to remove chicken product from a mixer. Employee #1 suffered the amputation of his finger. Employee #1 was treated for his injury but was not hospitalized.
