Investigation Summary
At approximately 1:15 p.m. on August 24, 2007, Employee #1, an asbestos worker with 10 years of experience with Argus Contracting, Inc., was part of a crew demolishing the asbestos-containing roof of a United States Army Reserve warehouse. Employee #1 was shoveling roofing material off the roof and onto the warehouse floor when he fell approximately 26.6 ft through a roof opening and onto the concrete floor. He died of injuries sustained in the fall. Employee #1 was wearing a full body harness, but was not secured to an anchor point.
