Employee Trips on Mat, Fractures Kneecap

On April 18, 2009, Employee #1, an armor assembler, was walking into the lunchroom, but it was closed for cleaning. A coworker told Employee #1 to walk around to the other lunchroom entrance. Employee #1 turned away from the lunchroom door and stumbled over some floor mats, which were piled next to the door for cleaning. When she tripped, she struck the ground and fractured her left kneecap. Employee #1 was taken to the local medical center, where she was hospitalized and underwent surgery for her injury.
