Employees suffer injuries in vehicular accident

On June 6 2010, Employee #1 with Employee #3 as a passenger, was driving Tug number 161002 (vehicle number 1), and was going in a perpendicular direction to Employee #2 when their vehicles collided; Employee #1 was driving over the 5 miles/hour speed limit in the Bag Area. Employee #2 driving Tug number 16995 (vehicle #2), failed to stop before making a right turn on the corner of MUA4 with a bulk cart blocking his sight of other ongoing vehicles and pedestrians. The two vehicles collided at a 45-degree angle at the corner of MUA4. Employees #1 and #3 jumped off after impact, while Employee #2 was thrown off from his vehicle. The three employees, all Ramp Agents, were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident. Employee #1 suffered bruises to his ribs and Employee #3 suffered a bruised knee and muscle strain; both Employees were evaluated then released from the Emergency Room on the same day. Employee #2 was transported via ambulance and was admitted at San Francisco General Hospital in San Francisco. Employee #2 underwent abdominal surgery as a result of his injuries. Employee #2 was confined in the hospital from June 6 through 12, 2010.
