Employee Amputates Finger Repairing Bagger

On April 11, 2007, Employee #1 was tracing a loose cable that was in a 480-volt electrical cabinet for an "Avapac Bagger". On the exterior of the cabinet the Employee #1 ran his hand over a conduit that lead under the guard of a chain. As the employee straightened out their hand the tip of the ring finger on the left hand was amputated after it came in contact with the chain. Employee #1 was not hospitalized.
