Employee's Thumb Is Amputated While Moving Pipe

On November 10, 2006, Employee #1 was working on a Cement Liner Operation. While attempting to push a 6 in. pipe off a wear plate, his thumb became caught between the rim of the pipe and the plate. Employee #1 was hospitalized for an amputation of his right thumb.
