Employee's Elbow Infects by Embeded Metal

On September 9, 2006, Employee #1, a heavy duty repairman apprentice, was changing a gearbox on conveyor Number 6. He struck his left elbow and a metal sliver was embedded in his elbow. After approximately two weeks of a sharp pain, Employee #1 found a cyst in his elbow and removed the metal sliver. Employee #1 went to the doctor that day and got a prescription for antibiotics. Two days later, the pain and swelling dramatically increased and Employee #1 went to the emergency room. He was hospitalized for an infection to his left elbow for six days.
