Employee's Previous Injury Results in Knee Replacement

On June 26, 2006, Employee #1, an assembler, reported to his supervisor that he was experiencing knee pain, which he attributed to kneeling on the job. Employee #1 had been a full time employee of Boeing for over 20 years as an assembler. He had undergone knee surgery approximately 20 years prior and may have aggravated the preexisting injury. Employee #1 was admitted to the hospital for total knee replacement surgery on October 19, 2007.
