Investigation Summary
At approximately 11:30 a.m. on June 5, 2007, an employee was using a skill saw to cut wood, a 1 by 12 piece, when he lost his balance, lost control of the saw and his hand made contact with the saw blade. The employee was working at a residential construction, where a number of residential homes were being built. The employee was making framework for curving gutters. The employee suffered an amputation of the left pinky finger and lacerations to the palm of his left hand. The employee was hospitalized and treated for an amputation.
