Employee Fractures Arm in Plastic Film Winder

At approximately 3:40 p.m. on May 6, 2007, an employee was tucking plastic film around the top rotating cardboard core in the production area of the facility. His left arm was caught-in a Battenfeld Gloucester portable plastic film winder, Serial Number 40608-30, Model Number 118 winder. A coworker heard the employee shout for help and responded to the scene to hit the e-stop button on the control panel located directly adjacent to the machinery. The employee was hospitalized and treated for a fractured arm.
