Employee Amputates Finger on Auger

On August 25, 2005, Employee #1, during preventative maintenance cleaning, reached into an auger discharge tube to clean it out. He was not aware that the auger was in operation and sustained lacerations to three fingers on his right hand and amputation of one of his fingers. He was hospitalized for his injuries.
