Transit Operator Is Killed in Crane Cab Accident

On December 1, 2005, a New York City transit train operator was found on the floor of Crane Car Number 263. It appeared that the employee was crushed between the ceiling of the subway tunnel and the crane cab and boom. He then fell to the floor of the crane car. The crane was in the locked travel position. NYC emergency medical services pronounced him dead at the Bronx, E. 180th Street station.
